The Fifth Level: Experimental
We finally have a release date and trailer!
//Lv5 Experimental
I explored a more game-focused direction in the next level, Experimental.
My idea for this level was a puzzle with rule-changing elements. Keeping on theme, there is no need to follow any specific formation when arranging the puzzle pieces together.
The concept art is quite different from the final result, since we did a bit of exploration for this level. In particular, the physics system was definitely a huge challenge for Kevin during development and playtesting.
For the art style, I was inspired by more graphic and minimalist design, similar to Google’s visual language. It reflects how I think about logic, simplicity, and structure.
The movement is smooth and natural, almost like putting together paper cutouts.
Since the interaction for this level is puzzle-like, figuring out how to communicate what to do — where to drag, connect, and disconnect — became part of the interactive experience itself. It was one of the most fun creative challenges to solve.

That’s it for this week! Hope you're looking forward to the full game!
